The 2nd International Topical Meeting on Optical Sensing and Artificial Vision (OSAV'2008) is organized by Saint Petersburg State University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics. In co-operation with SPIE, ICO, OSA.

The 2008 Euro American Workshop on Information Optics will be held during June 1 - 5, 2008 in Annecy, France. The workshop will address the latest advances in information optics, information photonics, imaging sciences and engineering, 3D image sensing and display, polarimetric imaging, image based information security, image recognition, bio-photonics, and novel image sensors. It will be a forum for scientific interaction and collaboration between well known scientists in the field and educational outreach to students.

The Society for Imaging Science and Technology (IS&T) invites you to CGIV’2008, the Fourth European Conference on Colour in Graphics, Imaging, and Vision, and MCS’2008, the 10th International Symposium on Multispectral Colour Science, to be held at the Technical University of Catalonia, Terrassa – Barcelona (Spain) June 9-13, 2008.

There has been enormous interest, in recent years, in optical materials that are artifically structured on the micrometre and nanometre scale. Such materials have fascinating optical properties both from a fundamental point of view and with regard to future applications in photonic devices and materials. Current trends point toward a gauge shrinkage to reach the molecular scale making the molecule the yardstick.
