Biophotonic Imaging Summer School 2009 - Focus on Nanobiophotonics
LIMITED TO 40 participants, application closing June 5th 2009
After the great success of last year’s Biophotonics and Imaging Graduate Summer School, we are returning to this wonderful location for this year’s school. This international Biophotonics and Imaging Graduate Summer School selects up to 40 PhDs and early stage researchers from among the applicants and provides TEACHING from professors of the highest calibre. This year the focus will be on nanoscale biophotonics and guest speakers include: Tony Wilson (Confocal Microscopy), Warren Zipfel (2 photon imaging), Chris Yu (New laser development) and Ricky Wang (Microangiography).
The Burren is a really nice location with an unusual landscape and we have an excellent group of international experts who have offered to give between one and five hours training each in their specialist area. The peripheral location was chosen to foster student-tutor interaction and enhance the learning experience, although it is only a picturesque 45 min drive from Shannon Airport.
Last year’s programme was a great success and was highly commended by both students and professors.
