30 January 2012 - 31 January 2012 Thin-film transistors (TFTs) are key elements for large area electronics, whose applications areincreasingly pervading our society. TFT technology, involving multidisciplinary research topics,has far reaching impact in a number of areas including flat panel displays, organic electronics,system on glass, and flexible electronics. In 2005, due to the need for a conference related withTFTs, the International TFT Conference (ITC) was established to exchange ideas andinformation in the field of organic and inorganic TFTs. Seven years after the 8th ITC will beheld in Lisbon from January 30 to 31 of 2012 covering the following topics: TFT materials: preparation technologies and film properties (Si-related, oxide and organicand semiconductors, CNTs and related materials)
- TFT Technologies: fabrication processes (low temperature crystallization, doping, surfacetreatment), device physics and simulation of TFTs
- Thin-Film Integrated Systems and Circuits: system-on-panels, thin-film devices (sensors,actuators, etc.), driver circuits and chip-embedded systems
- Novel TFT Technologies: novel devices and materials, and new applications such aselectronic papers
