WZW - Optic AG

wzw-optic AG is a manufacturer of precision optical components and assemblies. The company was founded in 1965 and has established itself a supplier of high quality optical products for the laser, medical, telecommunications, and defense industries. The biggest strength of wzw-optic AG lies in the close interaction of the design, engineering, and production teams with the clients. Communication is rapid and has an extremely high level of technical competence. Apart from a very profound understanding of optical applications and manufacturing, wzw has developed production and handling processes that allow it to manufacture products that are at the very limity of feasability. Some of the highlights of recent production runs are microoptical components for medical endoscope manufacturers and telecommunications clients. For example high extinction rate polarising beamsplitters ranging in sizes down to 1x1 mm. Other products include the design and manufacturing of a VIS/IR stereo system for a machine vision application in agriculture. During the last three years wzw has manufactured over 2'500 different products ranging from mirrors and prisms via complex cemented systems to completely assembled imaging optics. All the various activities are held together by a rigourous quality management system which includes total retraceability, continuous employee training and rapid detection and elimination of errors. wzw is certified for ISO 9001:2000.
