Two Topical Meetings will take place in September 2009 at Capri, Italy.

One Topical Meeting is the 3rd of the EOS Topical Meeting Series on Optical Microsystems. Former meetings took place in Capri in 2005 and 2007. The event is organized in collaboration with the Italian Society of Optics and Photonics (SIOF), the Italian branch of EOS.

This meeting is the 1st EOS Topical Meeting on Lasers. The conference focus on nowel development of lasers, particularly in the areas of semiconductor lasers, quantum dot lasers, fiber lasers and diode pumped solid state lasers. It will also contain sessions on nonlinear frequency conversion, parametric devices, utrafast lasers and laser materials and nonlinear optics as main topics.

 All attendees of the EOS Annual Meeting receive a 20% discount on the publication rate for the e-journal of the EOS: the Journal of the European Optical Society - Rapid Publications (JEOS:RP, http://www.jeos.org/).

The paper submitted to JEOS:RP must be an original contribution that is connected to one of the topical meetings held at EOSAM 2008.

Representing more than 1.000 members from industry, research and politics the Photonics21 Annual Meeting has become the major event to the European Photonics community.

The 3rd Annual Meeting of the platform Photonics 21 will be held at the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel, Brussels from Monday December 8, to Tuesday December 9, 2008.

This meeting is the 4th of the EOS Topical Meeting Series on Advanced Imaging Techniques. Former meetings took place in Delft (2003), London (2005) and Lille (2007).
